Listen to the NIV Audio Bible

There are several NIV Audio Bibles to choose from. Each production is compatible with nearly any music equipment you may have - whether it's a CD player, MP3 player, computer, etc. So all you have to choose is which production(s) you want to listen to.

The Listener's Bible is a popular production. It is narrated by Max McLean, who has a soothing baritone voice. His narration of the entire Bible in NIV is available in several forms.


Zondervan has produced the NIV Audio Bible in both dramatized and voice-only forms. "Dramatized" means that different voices are used for characters in the Bible stories, and that there may be background music or sound effects when appropriate. Voice-only means that only one voice narrates the entire Bible, and there is no background music.

The Bible Experience is a production that consists of African-American men and women narrating the New Testament in the TNIV (Todays New International Version), which is very similar to the NIV (without the "T"). The New Testament is currently available, and the Old Testament will be available before 2007 is over.

It's a good idea to listen to samples of each production before you buy them. That way you can get a general idea of what you're buying before you buy it. If you don't like any of the productions I listed above, there are many more to choose from, besides the NIV Audio Bible.
